Hey all,

I couldn't find a specific tech section on the forums, apologies if not posted correctly.
But i am wondering if someone could help me with the following;

My current setup is as follows;
AMD Ryzen 1600X
16GB DDR4-3200
GTX 1060 6GB
1080P monitor

Also due to work i'd like to switch to a 27" 1440P monitor 75Hz.

Now i have been googling to see if this would work well for WoW; if the GTX 1060 would be able to handle this.
I found this page: https://www.userbenchmark.com/PCGame/FP ... 64.0.0.0.0
and it shows an average of 74 FPS.

Do any you have an idea about that combination and what graphic settings would be possible (medium / high /...).
Thanks in advance!

I don't know how reliable that site is because the data is pulled from user's machines, and that data can be messed up. But it's probably not a bad baseline. Note however that the 74 average FPS you are seeing is for 1080p, not 1440p.

The main thing that's going to drive framerates is your graphics card. If you find that your current rig isn't getting you high enough framerates after you get that higher resolution display, then you can probably buy some extra framerates with a newer fatter graphics card. You wouldn't need to upgrade anything else in your system at that point.

What resolution are you running at? Size of screen doesn't matter, the amount of pixels being drawn on the screen does.

You're right. For 1440P it gives 63,4 FPS. It doesn't say if that's for max / medium graphic settings though.
Thanks for your reply. I'll try and find some other info.
